READ ENC is a community-wide literacy movement meant to grow awareness, programming, and community/family resources to ensure grade level proficient reading at the end of grade 3 for all of our children. Please contribute to this effort via the United Way of Pitt County, who serves as READ ENC’s fiscal agent. 100% of your contributions will be used for one or more of the following purposes: books, community education, family engagement. • A $100 contribution will support the addition of a Book Nook in a public area where parents and children wait together (i.e., pediatric health care providers’ waiting rooms, barbershops, laundromats, restaurants.)
• A $50 contribution will support one Pitt County K-3 child to receive 9 summer reading books they select to be mailed to their home.
