Summer Learning Resources

The National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) is a national, non-profit organization focused on the powerful impact of one achievable goal: investing in summer learning to help close the achievement gap.

The NC Early Childhood Foundation is a great resource for summer program providers!
The easy to use Summer Learning Toolkit developed in 2020 can help program staff understand the importance of summer learning, so that they can communicate effectively with parents.

During summer 2022, K-3 students in the following schools will begin receiving student-selected books mailed to their homes for reading throughout the summer: Belvoir, Stokes, Bethel, ECU Community School, Falkland, Grifton, G.R. Whitfield, Northwest, South Greenville, and Wahl-Coates. Thank you to the Pitt County Schools and other community partners who funded this program.
